Daryl Hayott and Warwick Bass

February 4, 2004--Bassist Daryl Hayott is about to make a minor adjustment in his bass arsenal. The artist is going to try the Warwick "CORVETTE" brand bass guitar, on the live shows in the future. "The move is not meant to be a statement,it's more like a search for a different sound. I've always looked at this bass as a rock bass. Pretty much something that keeps the pocket groove going. I was asked by some of the cats who e-mail me from all over, would inquire about equipment that i prefer. I like long necks, so my fingers on the left hand don't get preoccupied with spacing. I'm also partial to precision pick ups. Jazz pickups can force a lot of adjustments. I went to one of the local clubs, and fooled around with this cat'a Warwick. It suprised mw with the string and tone response,so i got in touch with the dealers in the area. We're going to try this bass with a different musical enviorment. When our latest CD comes out, we'll let the buyers decide". In the meantime fusion lovers will wait for the next rabbit that comes out of this ever moving bassist bag of tricks.
